P90X is a home workout program so you really don’t need a gym worth of equipment to get a great workout. With that being said if you want your workouts to go as smooth as possible watch this video and see some useful equipment that you can use.
So here is a list of what you need for P90X
- Pull-up/Chin-up bar
- Dumbells/Bands
- Yoga/Exercise mat
- Chair/Stool
- Push-up stands
- Yoga blocks
- Heart monitor
This is basically what you need. Now everyone has different amounts of money that they can spend on equipment so there really is no right or wrong answer on what will work best for you. P90X will work by just hitting play and doing the work. You don’t need all of this equipment to get great results. Yes it does help but, if you don’t have the money it’s time to get creative and make it work.
OK P90X Veterans lets hear it. Post in the comments what equipment has worked for you and what is a waste of money!
So you are thinking about buying P90X or already have it and you are wondering about how the pull ups work in the program. Well I’m here to tell you P90X is full of pull ups. You will find yourself twice a week killing your back as you do pull ups like a mad man. But, take a second and don’t feel overwhelmed. Many people have questions when it comes to the pull up bar and programs, here are just a few.
- What do I do if I can’t do a pull up?
- What if I have a injury and can’t do the movements?
- What type of pull up bar do I have to get?
- Do I even have to use a pull up bar?
These and other question referring to pull bars are answered in this short video that I have put together to better inform people who are new to or thinking about getting P90X.
